Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the
spi: sprd driver where a failure during DMA (Direct Memory Access) setup during the probe process can lead to an error pointer dereference. The driver is designed to fall back to PIO (Programmed Input/Output) mode if DMA setup fails. However, if the dma.enabled flag is not checked before attempting to release DMA channels during late probe errors, the system may attempt to dereference an error pointer or release a channel multiple times.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
