Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A memory block reference leak occurs in poison accounting. The functions memblk nr poison inc() and memblk nr poison sub() use find memory block by id() to look up a memory block, which acquires a reference to the memory block device. However, both helper functions fail to drop this reference after updating nr hwpoison, resulting in a leaked device reference for every successful lookup.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
