Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A preventative patch was implemented to enhance code consistency and mitigate potential exploits involving child queue length (qlen) manipulations within the qfq (Queued Fair Queueing) scheduler. The patch replaces reliance on a child queue discipline's qlen to determine class activation with the use of the
cl is active function. This change aims to prevent potential exploits that could arise from manipulating child qlens. The qfq rm from ag function was modified to use cl is active to determine if a class is active.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
