Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A flaw exists in the Linux kernel’s fs/writeback functionality, specifically within the
wait sb inodes() function. The issue involves skipping AS NO DATA INTEGRITY mappings, which can cause indefinite waiting if a faulty FUSE server does not respond to write requests. This restores prior behavior where sync operations are no-ops for FUSE. The vulnerability affects the FUSE filesystem.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
