The Yoast SEO – Advanced SEO with real-time guidance and built-in AI plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via Post Slug (post name) in all versions up to, and including, 28.0 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with author-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This requires pretty permalinks to be enabled, as the exploit chain depends on get permalink() embedding the stored percent-encoded post name in the generated URL.
