Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
AMD graphics processing unit (GPU) firmware
Description
A flaw exists in the handling of overlapping memory ranges between the reverse map table (RMP) and system management mode (SMM) components of AMD GPU firmware. This improper handling could allow a privileged attacker to corrupt or partially access SMM memory, potentially leading to a loss of data integrity or confidentiality. The RMP is a data structure used for memory mapping, and SMM is a privileged execution mode used for system management tasks.
Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
