Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A flaw exists in the Linux kernel’s ice driver related to devlink reloading. Specifically, a missing call to
ice deinit hw() in the ice devlink reinit down() function, introduced by a previous commit, causes ice init hw() to fail with an -EBUSY error during devlink reinitialization. This failure, followed by removal of the ice driver, results in a NULL pointer dereference. The issue arises because control queues are not uninitialized, leading to the failure of ice init hw().Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
