CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A flaw exists in the Linux kernel related to the DAMON sysfs interface. Specifically, when a DAMOS-scheme DAMON sysfs directory setup fails after the creation of the access pattern directory, the subdirectories within access pattern are not properly removed. This results in a broken DAMON sysfs interface until a system reboot and causes memory leakage due to the unremoved directory. The issue involves incomplete cleanup of directories under certain failure conditions.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
