Linux · Linux Kernel · CVE-2024-53149
**Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions**
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
**Description**
The issue is related to an off-by-one error in the `connector status` of the `glink` component in the Linux kernel's USB-C connector status. The UCSI connector's indices start from 1 up to 3, `PMIC GLINK MAX PORTS`. The condition in the `pmic glink ucsi connector status()` callback has been corrected to fix Type-C orientation reporting for the third USB-C connector. This error could potentially allow an attacker to cause a denial of service.
**Recommendations**
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
