**Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions** Linux kernel (affected versions not specified) **Description** A issue in the Linux kernel has been resolved, specifically in the batman-adv component. The problem occurs when the `batadv hardif neigh node` and `batadv hard iface` are freed before the `batadv v elp throughput metric update` work is finished, due to a lack of guarantee that the hard interface will remain associated with a soft interface. This can cause a crash, which can be triggered by a reboot. The crash is characterized by a call trace that includes `batadv v mesh free`, `batadv v elp throughput metric update`, and other functions. **Recommendations** At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
