WordPress · Countdown & Clock · CVE-2022-29420
**Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions** Countdown & Clock (WordPress plugin) versions through 2.3.2 **Description** The issue is related to Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation, also known as Cross-site Scripting (XSS). This allows for Stored XSS attacks. The vulnerability can be exploited through the `&ycd-circle-countdown-before-countdown` and `&ycd-circle-countdown-after-countdown` parameters. The issue affects authenticated users with admin+ privileges. **Recommendations** For versions through 2.3.2, update to a version later than 2.3.2 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the countdown-builder feature until a patch is available. Avoid using the `&ycd-circle-countdown-before-countdown` and `&ycd-circle-countdown-after-countdown` parameters in the affected plugin until the issue is resolved.
