**Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions** Netwide Assembler (NASM) version 2.15rc0 **Description** A heap-based buffer over-read issue occurs in the set text free function when called from expand one smacro in asm/preproc.c, potentially allowing an attacker to impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected information. This can be triggered via a crafted .asm file. **Recommendations** For Netwide Assembler (NASM) version 2.15rc0, consider avoiding the use of crafted .asm files until a patch is available.
