**Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions** Exuberant Ctags version 5.8 **Description** The issue allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in an infinite loop and consumption of CPU and disk resources, via a crafted JavaScript file. **Recommendations** For Exuberant Ctags version 5.8, consider avoiding the use of jscript.c until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, restrict the processing of crafted JavaScript files to minimize the risk of exploitation.
