**Description**
The issue arises from the improper validation of user-mode input by the Ancillary Function Driver (AFD) in afd.sys, allowing local users to gain privileges via a crafted application. This could enable an attacker to run code with elevated privileges, potentially leading to the execution of arbitrary code and complete control of an affected system. The attacker could then install programs, view, change, or delete data, or create new accounts with full user rights.
