Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Apache Camel (affected versions not specified)
Description A flaw in the camel-consul component occurs when the ConsulRegistry class uses the ConsulRegistryUtils.deserialize() function to process data. An attacker with write access to the Consul Key-Value (KV) store can inject a malicious serialized Java object. Because the component reads Java-serialized values without proper input filtering, this can lead to arbitrary code execution within the Camel process.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
